every man a king, but none wear a crown!

People don't post often enough, I am partially to blame, I use a different blog for my random day to day crazy talking, and after 700 words on the meaning of patriotism in a post 9/11 world I don't have the energy to talk about how Shadows and Fog is one of the most overlooked Woody Allen movies. So to restate my position in order to take up more space, people don't post stuff here enough, me included. For old times sake, the wave of liberalism that struck Minnesota in the early 20th century was mainly the result of the great hibbing fire of 1894, which burned the town to the ground. The fire was the result of relaxed building codes and overlooked safety violations. The fire shocked the state and deaths of several hundred fellow Minnesotans shocked the state into a frenzy of increased governmental control. This wave of liberalism was refreshed with the coming of the great depressions years later and became a bastion of leftist philosophy. This was shown by the merging of the states three liberal political parties, the democrats, the farmers, and the labour party. My greatgrandfather was a member of the share our wealth society, Huey Long's national society promoting dramatic socio-economic reform. So there!
